“My Internet is down.”

Something about this makes me want to cringe, apart from the prospect of having to go fix it. Skud once pointed this out in her excellent faq..

The missing word, of course, is connection. “My Internet connection is down.”

DTW (DeTroit Whatever) airport has a tram in concourse A. The 3 tram stops are approximately 500m apart (I pace counted), for a maximum distance of 1km. Who the hell can’t walk 1km, especially given moving sidewalks?
