I still haven’t uploaded photos from Paris, India, or Ireland (except this one.) I’m now on my way to Beijing. I got back to Montreal on Saturday night and have been feeling exactly like a zombie ever since. This morning: 8:00 flight to PEK via YVR means leave the house 6:00 means get up 5:30 – normally I’d be upset at having to get up so early but these are all just numbers right now.
Flying sucks. Nobody would ever do it if it didn’t take you cool places.
All of that time in airports and aeroplanes has taken a toll on me. But it’s always pleasant to see familiar faces from far away, so I suppose it makes up for it.
A bit.
Well, at least feeling like a zombie is seasonally appropriate.
Brains…
I felt the same way when I had to wake up at 5h a.m. to take my plane from Brussels last Sunday. It is such an unholy hour, but during a trip, it doesn’t seem to bother at all. In the same fashion, I did not feel the jet lag, one way or the other. It is just a change on my watch. :-)
bah, that’s nothing dude
Slept around 3:30 AM (after a lot of packing), woke up 6:30 AM to continue cleanup and packing; left home around 10 to go to SFO, stood in line for 2 hours to check in luggage, ate food, went to INS office for getting mugshot/finger printed (ok, it is not that bad :-) ), flew to Amsterdam, then to Tehran (in a few hours).
11.5 time difference is going to suck, bigtime; My sister’s wedding better be worth it :-)
Re: bah, that’s nothing dude
hey, India is 9.5h off from home and China is 13h. I was actually OK for all of it until the day I got back from Ireland.. then it all hit and I didn’t feel human again until about halfway through China. Still haven’t readjusted to Eastern time, sigh.
What, no stopover in AMS? Dude, they have weed.
