Awake. Where am I?
Feels like my bed. OK.
(blink)
It’s light out. Maybe it’s morning.
Yes, time to get up.

Wait, why are my fingernails black?

story?
Random amusement at a bar. had a sharpie and decided it would be funny to colour my nails. I let her because – well – it was.
I got most of it off in the shower this morning. I’m vaguely tempted to go buy some nail polish and do it right.
if you do you should alternate each nail colour between black and another colour that matches your hair. haha.
You woke up one day and you were Robin Black.
That was me.
Or maybe Peter Black? (Montréal DJ)
This is a very common experience among Burners, except they wake up wondering what tent they’re in.
heh, I can’t wait.

well, I guess as long as there wasn’t blood under your fingernails…
My boss told me it was just paint.
Rubbing alcohol removes Sharpies. I’ve used it many, many times!
Thanks – it actually came off fine with soap (actually, it half came off on its own overnight) but that’s good to know.
i did giggle i bit when i saw this entry.
Best to do the job with proper black fingernail polish. Do remember to put a clear-coat on first. Otherwise your nails will turn yellow after a while. It also keeps it from chipping off as easily.
Ah, knowledge from teenage-years well spent…
Kathleen didn’t give me much choice. It was either let her do it with a sharpie, or run away screaming :) It was already coming off by the morning, so it was easy to remove in the shower.
I did get some black nail polish though. No clear coat yet, though I will do that next time – thanks for the advice.
