I’ve been contemplating moving my blog, first because I want it on my domain, second because I’m tired of cleaning up comment span. Blogspot looks to offer both of these things at the cost of otherwise a truly posting experience.
I suspect I’m too lazy to setup wordpress, though.
Yeah, the two were related. I commented out webshot _properly_ and now comment nesting works again. Yay :)
Dreamhost has one-click installation of WordPress. I just had to get around to migrating my domain there. Real hosting >> Google Sites. The time with WordPress is in tweaking it though. It’s nice that I can tweak it to behave (more or less) how I want, but the downside is the time involved. For example, I managed to disable the annoying “show snapshot of the webpage when you hover over a link” feature (try that on LJ) but I seem to have broken comment threading, maybe in the process.
